International Dyslexia Learning Solutions are very proud to be an official Champion for the National Numeracy Day 2022.

IDLS provides specialist multi-sensory software programmes to primary and secondary schools in the UK and internationally. Our most recent development IDL Numeracy is specifically designed for those with dyscalculia and low level maths ability.

Poor numeracy skills affect people’s opportunities and those with poor numeracy skills are more than twice as likely to be unemployed.

Numeracy is at the very heart of IDLS and we are committed to helping every child build confidence and improve their skills to use numbers in everyday life. That’s why IDLS have recently released our brand new Numeracy Screener that is completely free of charge to all schools. Please click here for more information.

IDL Numeracy includes a fully graded course to support the National Curriculum for numeracy at KS1 and KS2. In order to be inclusive the lessons are designed to reduce the stress low attaining learners would ordinarily feel when faced with mathematical problems. Read more here.

This week is #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and this year`s theme is all about taking action to support good mental health.

Academic progress and emotional wellbeing are closely connected. When pupils struggle with reading, writing or maths, the effects can reach well beyond the classroom, impacting confidence and self-esteem.

By taking action early and providing the right literacy and numeracy support, pupils can build confidence and become more willing to try again. Over time, these positive learning experiences can play an important role in improving emotional wellbeing.
