It is estimated that 1-in-20 individuals have Dyscalculia, yet it remains an under-researched learning difficulty in the UK, and as a result teachers struggle to support learners with this condition. With this in mind we will be travelling the country to ensure all schools have the opportunity to attend our free CPD Certified Dyscalculia Training sessions.

Each session will be led by Judy Hornigold, an independent education consultant specialising in Dyscalculia and an Associate Tutor for the BDA and Edge Hill University. She is also a trainer for Maths No Problem, training teachers in Singapore Maths.

Did you know that IDL Literacy is developed around 5 basic principles:

-Multi Sensory Lessons
IDL uses sight, sound, touch, and voice to improve literacy and mathematical ability. Links are made between the visual, auditory and tactile pathways.

-Progress Monitoring
Teachers can easily see how pupils are achieving against expected standards for their age group along with identifying areas they are struggling with most.

-Simple To Use
IDL has been simply designed to make it easy for pupils and teachers to use. Pupils are able to work independently or with minimum supervision, whilst teachers can track and monitor progress effortlessly.

-Independent Learning
Pupils are able to work independently on the programme, allowing for larger intervention groups.

-Available Anywhere
Pupils can use IDL from school or at home, on a computer or tablet. The cloud is used to store pupil progress so they can pick up where they left off.

It’s #NationalNumeracyDay! ✖️➕➗

This year’s theme is “Count on Your Community” and at IDL Numeracy we’re proud to support schools, teachers, and learners through our IDL Numeracy software.

IDL Numeracy is a maths resource designed to help improve the skills and confidence of low-attaining learners in mathematics, giving them the tools they need to tackle mathematical challenges with confidence.

Our wide range of numeracy resources can support learners with dyscalculia, dyslexia, and other maths difficulties, while also helping teachers with training and lesson planning. 🤩
