IDL are delighted to be awarded The Innovation Award for Technology which recognises an organisation or education setting that effectively demonstrates how technology has been used to promote inclusion for children and young people with SEND.

Scooping the top accolade for the Innovation Award for Technology IDL was recognised for increasing reading spelling and mathematical ability in pupils with dyslexia dyscalculia and SEND. Since the 1980s IDL has proven to support thousands of children and young people with dyslexia dyscalculia & many other areas of SEND. IDL provides innovative multi-sensory technology; IDL Literacy IDL Numeracy & IDL Dyscalculia Screener to schools in the UK and overseas.

This Baa Baa Black Sheep animation is just one part of our nursery section, designed as an introduction to a wider, structured phonics programme. 🤩

Through fun, interactive activities, pupils will learn more about alliteration and how it works, learning to identify it, match words with the same starting sounds, and replicate it themselves.

Did you know that IDL Literacy is developed around 5 basic principles:

-Multi Sensory Lessons
IDL uses sight, sound, touch, and voice to improve literacy and mathematical ability. Links are made between the visual, auditory and tactile pathways.

-Progress Monitoring
Teachers can easily see how pupils are achieving against expected standards for their age group along with identifying areas they are struggling with most.

-Simple To Use
IDL has been simply designed to make it easy for pupils and teachers to use. Pupils are able to work independently or with minimum supervision, whilst teachers can track and monitor progress effortlessly.

-Independent Learning
Pupils are able to work independently on the programme, allowing for larger intervention groups.

-Available Anywhere
Pupils can use IDL from school or at home, on a computer or tablet. The cloud is used to store pupil progress so they can pick up where they left off.
