Additional funding announced for schools – support your SEND provision

In 2018’s budget the Chancellor of the Exchequer Phillip Hammond announced a one-off bonus of £400m for schools. The money averages £10,000 per primary school and £50,000 per secondary school.

This announcement comes at a time when schools’ funding is increasingly sparse and some schools are having to stretch their SEND budgets to cover funding shortfalls – meaning pupils with special educational needs and disabilities struggle to get the help they so desperately need. The bonus is a much needed boost which if partially spent on resources for SEND pupils will ensure these learners have the support and skills they need to progress in education and the world of work.

Technology provides a unique learning opportunity for SEN pupils and through a multi-sensory and tailored approach can help provide additional support that most schools struggle to offer due to time and funding restraints.

IDL offers two resources – the Nasen award winning literacy intervention and the newly launched numeracy software. Both programmes are multi-sensory simple to use and distraction free. We offer all schools a free trial and prices start from just £399 + VAT for a multi-user school licence. For more information please contact [email protected].
